Swannell Racing was founded to cater for the increasing needs of the
racing industry for accurate and efficient roll cage homologation,
optimisation and design. We are approved by the FIA and CAMS as an
approved design house for the analysis of roll cage structures in
accordance with FIA Appendix J, Article 253. Swannell Racing is capable of analysing the torsional rigidity of a roll
cage design before production. We use solid modelling and Finite Element
Analysis (FEA) techniques to create a realistic model of the cage and
view its performance under various crash conditions. This process allows
designers to optimise the weight, centre of gravity and stiffness of the
cage. It also reduces the cost and time of prototyping and ensures a
proven design is installed in the car.
